An Eagle in rehab There is no denying the majesty of the American Bald Eagle. This bird represents power and
beauty when it graces our skies. That makes it even more difficult to see one that is down,
suffering and in need of help. In the natural world these birds thrived, but as the human
population increased and added many toxic chemicals to the environment their numbers
declined. With a concerted effort on the part of our Division of Wildlife, these large predators
are making a comeback. Still, the need to provide care for the occasional Eagle that needs it is
an important part of their return.
