Volunteer your time

Day keeper
Assist with the feeding and care of the animals (only 4 hours a week). We provide all your training so you will feel comfortable and qualified to do your job.

Become a foster parent at your home.
Especially in the spring we need many foster care parents who can raise baby animals for us. The commitment for foster placement is normally for 2-7 weeks at a time, depending on the species you choose to foster. Training is provided. We do ask that foster animals are kept separate from children and pets while in your home.

Answer the hotline.
As a hotline volunteer you will assist callers in better understanding a situation they have encountered and determining when a rescue is needed. You will check in new patients as they arrive, and keep records on the animals. Training is provided and staff will be available to assist you at first.

Transporter
Make yourself available for on-call emergency animal pickup or transfer to release site. Being able to rescue or release an animal back into the wild is a very rewarding experience. Once again training and equipment is provided.

Maintenance
Assist with maintenance or new cage construction. Talented people are always needed in this area.

Scouting
Call to see if we have any projects for your scout group.
