3rd Annual Build Bash Tickets

In March 2015, Nature's Nursery lost a dear and dedicated volunteer, David H. Moore, Jr.  David grew up in the Old West End with his family and was surrounded by Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many boyhood friends. He attended the former St. Angela Hall & St. Francis Education Center Grade Schools, began his high school years at St. John's Jesuit and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1991. David's college days were spent at the University of Toledo and The Ohio State University. David lived in Columbus and eventually made his way to Scottsdale, Arizona.

Pure of heart, courageous, thoughtful and filled with the most special kind of kindness, he was a joy to all he came in contact with. After returning to Toledo and following his desire to work with animals and God's winged creatures, he found his passion and gave much of his time volunteering for Nature's Nursery. This became his comfort and joy as he continued his life's journey.

On May 19th at Bedford Hills Golf Club , the Friends and Family of David H. Moore, Jr., are holding the 3rd Annual Build Bash.  The goal of the Build Bash is to raise funds  to construct an Education and Enrichment Center at Nature’s Nursery to be named in David's honor. Davey, as he was known to many, had the uncanny ability to understand the many needs of the education animals and birds he cared for. During his life, he hoped for a specific building so these animals could be better enriched.  The Friends and Family of David want to honor those wishes with your help.

As Nature’s Nursery has grown over the past 28 years, the need to build an Educational and Enrichment Center has become more evident as the organization seeks to meet the need for on-site community education programs and expand their capacity to provide more meaningful enrichment and exercise for the education animals. With your support we can make plans for this facility, which will benefit the public and honor Dave.
