Conservation Education

For over 25 years, Nature's Nursery has been providing community wildlife education and conservation programming!

Please consider an education program for your school, day care, civic organization, scout troop or private party.  Meet our education animal ambassadors, learn about each species and how you can help protect their habitats throughout the region and in your own backyard.

We have a program that is right for your group!

  • We provide programs for day cares, schools, scouts, civic groups, assisted living facilities, and many more!

  • All of our programming is outreach, meaning we are happy to come to you! Our facility is not designed to easily accommodate group visits or tours.

  • Programs length is typical 1 hour but we can customize a presentation that fits your needs.

  • Most programs will include 3-5 of our live education animal ambassadors and several animal artifacts (pelts, bones, feathers, etc.).

  • Our programs concentrate on wildlife education and conservation. We incorporate scientific research and natural history in order to help people better understand how to safely coexist with wildlife.

  • Teachers: we can customize a program that fits your life science curriculum that will align with the new state science standards!

  • Scout Leaders: programs can be customized to meet badge requirements!

Program Pricing:

  • Please contact our Education Coordinator to discuss program options and pricing.  Our goal is to provide you with the best program for your group at a price that is affordable while supporting our mission and the care of our education animal ambassadors.

Our Education Animal Ambassadors:
We care for over 40 education animal ambassadors that cannot return to their home in the wild. Many of these animals are permanently injured while others were illegal taken from their habitat and surrendered to Nature's Nursery. These animals help us educate thousands of people each year and serve as ambassadors for their own species and for wildlife everywhere. We have a wide variety of birds of prey, mammals, reptiles, amphibians. Trained staff and volunteers work with these animals year-round, ensuring they are cared for, enriched and exercised to ensure their long term health and well-being.
