Do not handle any bat that you have found or allow children to come in contact with it. If you do, the bat will have to be destroyed so that it can be tested for rabies.
There is no charge for animal care, but your donation will be used to house, medicate, and feed the animals in our care. See menu item "How You Can Help" above for more information.
We do not take domestic rabbits, domestic ducks, nor dogs and cats. Due to state regulations, we cannot take the following animals:
adult deer, raccoons, and coyotes.

Move progressing
but work remains
All the cages from Reed Rd. have been moved have as have the rehab and program animals. However, a number of cages still need to be built at the new site. Volunteers are needed to help with cage construction and landscaping from now through summer. We are building our waterfowl cage and will start construction of the new flight cage as soon as the remainder of funding for the project is secured. If you would like to help with this effort, or you have access to donations of construction or landscaping materials, please contact the Center at
419-877-0060.
