A beautiful young Great Blue Heron.

• The Great Blue Heron is the largest and most widespread heron in North America.
• The range in heights 38-54 inches with wingspans ranging from 66-79 inches
• The Great Blue Heron eats primarily fish, it sometimes eat other animals as well such as mice.
• Great Blue Herons usually breed in colonies containing a few to several hundred pairs.
• The Great Blue Heron can be found in marshes, rivers, lakes, salt water shores and ponds.
• They are migratory birds, but some stay in the northern part of their range.
